    The market release of pesticides is governed by several national regulations and is usually made conditional upon the performance of a broad range of tests to ensure that commercial formulations are effective against selected insect pests and yet safe for humans, non-targeted species, and the natural environment.

    PULVERIS SOLUTIONS' experts and specialists have participated in a numerous projects, including various pilot pesticide spraying projects complying with Canadian requirements related to the registration of the microbial and other biorational agents used in pesticides. For example, we have performed in-field measurements of the efficacy of concentrated liquid formulations of larvicides based on Bacillus thuringiensis – subsp. kurstaki (Btk), powdered formulations of Btk, and nuclear polyhedrosis virus for short-term suppression of forest insect populations.

    Our laboratory is able to determine the required lethal dose of active ingredients depending on the undesirable species targeted, thus making it possible to make judicious use of pesticides while also optimizing the efficacy of the desired treatment.
